I successfully built and sold four financial services companies and have worked with many professional advisors to assist them and their clients in meeting exceeding outcomes. Speaking at a number of conferences both in the UK and USA enables me to share best business practices sharing my experience in moving a business forward and in maximising profits. I really enjoy sharing thoughts and experiences, with people, to help them to have more efficient and profitable businesses.
I find working with individuals and teams to ascertain their Goals and then preparing the plans with which to achieve these most rewarding. To some this is called Holistic coaching to me it is the most gratifying thing I do at work. This can be done over a period of time and watching an individual change with the program as time unfolds and steering them along an agreed path make all of the effort worthwhile.
When working as an IFA I spent the majority of my career advising my favourite type of clients being, Owner Directors and Entrepreneurs of small and medium sized companies (SME’s) in both financial and business services matters offering personal and corporate advice in Non-Executive Director and quasi NED roles. I found that I was able to relate with them better and provide them with sensible solutions to the day to day problems they were experiencing.
Having grown and sold businesses through Mergers and Acquisitions I am now able to use this M&A knowledge to the best use to assist clients in their required conclusions. When buying or selling any business too many people forget that there are individuals involved in the process and I feel I am able to maintain the “human touch” in what can be a very cold environment. Experience has taught me that there is a deal for everyone if it is approached in the correct way and as long as everyone’s best interests are kept in mind.
