My role with FORG3D Ltd  –  Non- Exec Chairman

FORG3D offers the repeatable quality of forgings with the benefits of 3D printing. We offer large format Additive Manufacturing (AM) in exotic metals for industries including Space, Aerospace, and Defence.
FORG3D is a Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) based 3D printing solution. It is best suited for larger parts, 0.1m or above, and we currently have no build-size limits. We currently 3D print in exotic metals including Titanium (Ti64) with no need for vacuum tents or gas chambers and on an open factory floor.

Aerospace Industry

From Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) to offering the freedom to re-design and lightweight parts to reduce cost and fuel consumption, the benefits of AM for Aerospace are huge. We believe our process offers the best solution with no changes throughout the build and only one set of parameters to qualify.

Space

With such high costs to send mass to space, FORG3D helps customers reduce weight and save significantly on these costs. FORG3D is currently focused on manufacturing for Space, but ultimately, we aim to take our skills off-planet with On-orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (OSAM) and beyond.

Defence

Following recent global events, we have seen a marked increase in interest from the Defence sector and are proud to support Naval shipbuilding. FORG3D can help shorten and secure strategic supply chains by offering a 3D forge in our client facilities.
